LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville father decided to drive his three children to the park to play Tuesday night. There was only one problem: the man was allegedly drunk.
According to an arrest report, police were called to Veterans Memorial Park in Jeffersontown shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on a report that an intoxicated man was there with his three children.
When police arrived, they say they found 36-year-old David G. Dutschke, who was with his three children, all of whom were between the ages of 8 and 12.
Police say he "smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages and stated he had four margaritas prior to coming to the park."
He said he drove himself and his kids to the park, "to play," and he blew a .195 on a portable breathalyzer test, according to an arrest report.
Police say he had been at the park for roughly 30 minutes before officers arrived.
Dutschke was charged with alcohol intoxication, a misdemeanor.
