LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- With just three weeks until the beginning of the Kentucky State Fair, organizers are getting the word out about the upcoming fair using social media -- Facebook and Twitter.
The State Fair runs from August 16th through the 26th. There will be a large midway at the fair since Kentucky Kingdom is still shut down.
The Fair Board is still looking for a new tenant after the Koch Family dropped their plans to re-open the park.
Ron Carmicle, Kentucky State Fair Board Chairman, says, "The theme park still yet to be determined, we know where our revenue streams are. The revenue streams are remaining level, that's a success."
Next week, the Kentucky Expo Center will be filled with cool cars for the Street Rod Nationals. Last year, 15,000 cars came for the show.
Organizers say that convention signed a contract to be in Louisville through 2020.
