LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41)---"It was like..'Oh my God, yes!' and just like I said, Christmas in July," says Terry Zwicker, the father of Trey Zwicker.

This reaction from Terry Zwicker came after the news that Joshua Gouker had been indicted for the murder of Zwicker's son, Trey. Trey Zwicker was also Gouker's stepson.

"We do have some additional witnesses who have come forward, giving us information to the fact that he was involved in the planning of the murder," says Lt. Barry Wilkerson with Louisville Metro Police.

Last year, Gouker's son, 16-year-old Joshua Young, was also charged with murder, accused of beating Trey to death with a bat.

The teenager's body was found behind Liberty High School.

Terry Zwicker said he had his suspicions right away about Gouker and Young.

"I've said it from the beginning. I told the detectives that day that that's where they need to start," says Terry Zwicker.

In court documents released late last year, police questioned Gouker, asking if he or Trey's mom were behind the murder.

"Them are our kids man. She would never do that and I would never let anybody do that…ever. I'll take a polygraph to all that," Gouker told authorities.

Months later, Gouker and his family were recorded telling police it was Joshua Young who committed the crime.

"Louisville Homicide Detectives are here and they know everything," Gouker told his mom in a phone conversation.  She asked Gouker what he meant and he replied "About Trey".

Gouker said his son admitted to hitting Trey with a bat at least 15 times, and later disposing of a bloody baseball bat and clothing.

Terry Zwicker believes Joshua Gouker didn't just have a role in the planning of this murder.

"I just believe he was right there beside him and that's how it all took place," says Terry Zwicker.

With much more information expected to come out in this case, it's just one step that Zwicker says he's been waiting for.

"It's one more step to the closure I need and I know I have a long way to go,' says Terry Zwicker.

Joshua Gouker was indicted for murder, animal torture, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and being a persistent felony offender.

He is already currently behind bars in the Floyd County jail on unrelated theft charges.

As for Joshua Young, he was also reindicted for the same murder today.
