On the last weekend of July, it's the 150th anniversary event of Confederate John Hunt Morgan's raid on Shepherdsville to destroy the bridge over Salt River.

Civil War enthusiasts take over Shepherdsville, Kentucky City Park with an encampment of both Federal (Union) and Confederate (rebel) camps.

Re-enactors will be dressed in period correct attire with some portraying Gov. Helms, Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, and possibly Abe Lincoln and Braxton Bragg.
