LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The suspect in this month's PRP shooting on Maravian Drive is now out of the hospital and has been arraigned for the murder of his former girlfriend and two young sons.
Police say John Devine broke into Sade' Goldsmith's PRP house, shot her, and then shot their two young sons, 5-year-old John and 4-year-old Jon'tee Devine as they slept in her bedroom. It happened early on the morning of July 15th.
Authorities say Devine then shot himself and has been recovering at University Hospital. Investigators say he was trying to take his own life.
He was released from the hospital and appeared in court Saturday morning. He is now behind bars at Metro Corrections.
Devine is charged with three counts of murder and one count of burglary.
