LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say they arrested a man who was driving drunk with three kids in the car on Saturday.
According to an arrest report, 32-year-old Demetrio Quiroz-Perez was driving a Ford F-150 on Billtown Road, near Michael Edward Drive, Saturday, just after 10 p.m.
Police say he swerved over the center line several times, in some cases moving into the path of oncoming traffic.
When officers stopped him, police could smell alcohol on his person, according to an arrest report. He also allegedly had, "glassy, bloodshot eyes."
Police say he told them he'd been drinking beer at a party earlier in the evening.
When police investigated, they learned he didn't have a driver's license, according to the arrest report.
Police also allegedly found three children -- ages 8, 5 and 2 -- in the backseat, unrestrained. Police say Quiroz-Perez, "put these children at a significant risk of physical injury or death by operating his vehicle recklessly, under the influence of alcohol."
Quiroz-Perez was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving, driving without an operator's license and wanton endangerment.
