LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A father and son will soon be arraigned together on charges of murdering a 14-year-old.
Joshua Gouker and Joshua Young were indicted last week, and they're due back in court in September.
Gouker is now a suspect in the death of his stepson, Trey Zwicker's after being indicted last week.
Young is accused of beating Zwicker to death with a baseball bat. His body was found by a group of students behind Liberty High School in May of 2011.
Prosecutors say they now have new information that implicated Gouker's involvement in planning Zwicker's death.
"Josh has been incarcerated now for over a year," said Pete Schuler the chief juvenile defender on Young's case. "We need to get this resolved. We would like for him to be tried, and I don't expect that Mr. Gouker's attorney would be ready to try the case."
Young's trial is scheduled for October. He remains jailed on a $100,000 full cash bond.
Gouker is currently in the Floyd County Jail on unrelated theft charges.
