TARC gets a dozen new buses

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's bus service is getting an upgrade.

A $4 million grant will help TARC replace a dozen old buses with new clean-diesel buses.

Thirty-nine old buses, nearly 20% of the fleet, will be replaced with new, more environmentally-friendly buses in the next two years.

New buses will begin arriving in April.

TARC already has 27 new buses on order as a result of previous federal grants.
