Woman arrested for making meth in air purifier

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person is behind bars in Jeffersonville after police found a mobile meth lab.

According to published reports, Laura Beardwell, 34, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of 10th Street Tuesday after officers discovered the meth lab while responding to a report of a stranded motorist.

During the investigation and search, officers found the lab hidden in an air purifier.

Investigators are looking for Beardwell's accomplice, George Wallace.

Beardwell had been arrested in April of 2011 for manufacturing meth at her Jeffersonville home.
