LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There still have not been any arrests in the case of a 17-year-old boy shot to death in broad daylight while riding a TARC bus last month.
A family member wants to change that by starting a movement called Team Rico.
Lynn Gullion hopes it will lead to arrests and help other teens make better decisions.
Robinson was her younger cousin.
"I heard about it the day it happened on the 23rd, but I didn't know it was Rico. I got on Facebook and all I saw was pictures of Rico, and I just couldn't believe it was him," says Gullion.
It has been hard for family members, but there has been some relief. A short time after the murder, police named Jeffrey Kingdon and Martin Keehn as suspects.
But so far, there have been no arrests.
"It hurts way more because they're still on the loose," says Gullion.
She's a student at Northern Kentucky University, and she's majoring in social work.
"I've wanted to be a community activist since I was young."
Unfortunately, her cousin's death has given her somewhat of a jump-start on her career and passion.
"I have something to say and I should be heard."
And Gullion hopes what she has to say will save lives and lead to arrests.
From her laptop at NKU, Gullion's keeping busy by sharing her message with everyone she knows through email and Facebook.
"I want to talk to teens about violence and do activities to redirect them."
It may be a long shot, but Gullion is hoping it will pay off.
"I feel like if anybody has any information they should come forward about it, for closure for his family, for his friends, just for the whole city."
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Kingdon and Keehn should call the anonymous police tip line at 574-LMPD.
