Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com has questioned the play of Nerlens Noel at the adidas Nations event.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – More summer basketball nuggets:
*Jonathan Givony of Draft Express has
stirred the ire of Kentucky fans with his opinions on the play of incoming UK
freshman Nerlens Noel at the adidas Nations tournament in Southern California.
On Friday, Givony wrote on Twitter that
Noel couldn't score unless he was spoon-fed the ball and that defensively his
fundamentals and awareness were "just OK."
That inspired the predictable burst of
love letters from UK/Noel fans.
On Saturday night Givony filed Chapter
Two with this Tweet:
"Jonathan
Givony @DraftExpress
Kentucky fans have been killing me all day on twitter, so
I'm glad for them they didn't see Noel's performance today. Actually played
worse."
Round Two of the love letters starts now.
*Noel,
meanwhile, told Edward Lewis of Rivals.com that his summer high school
classwork is over and that he plans to be in Lexington on Aug. 19.

been considered one of the top recruiting guys in Southern California.
He's also
been covering the fun at the adidas Nation and says that a pair of young
Australian players – 6-7 Ben Simmons and 6-4 Dante Exum – have been impressive.
Burlison
also said that Louisville senior Peyton Siva played well last night, but was
outplayed by Ray McCallum Jr. of Detroit.
