Papa John's to raise prices over President Obama's health care law

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The CEO of Papa John's Pizza says President Obama's healthcare law will raise pizza prices by 11 to 14 cents.

John Schnatter says the law will require him to offer healthcare coverage to more of his company's 16,000 employees. Otherwise, he will have to pay a penalty to the government.

The National Restaurant Association says restaurants already have slim profit margins.

Schnatter was already on the record, as not being a fan of the President's policies. He hosted a fundraiser for Republican challenger Mitt Romney back in April.
