Iroquois H.S. teacher arraigned on manslaughter charge

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Iroquois High School teacher accused of manslaughter in a crash pleaded not guilty in court this morning.

Police say 56-year-old Christopher Purcell may have been speeding when he drove his Jeep Cherokee into the path of a motorcycle.

It happened early Saturday morning on Bardstown Rd. near Strathmoor Blvd.

Police say 31-year-old Tracey Blevins died at the scene.

Purcell is also charged with driving under the influence.

He's expected to be back in court on September 10.
