LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Keep an eye on former University of Louisville and Butler High School baseball star Adam Duvall.
He's hitting the baseball like a guy who intends to play third base for the San Francisco Giants one day.
Duvall leads the Class A California League with 26 home runs – and has six this week. Add 20 doubles and a pair of triples and Duvall, 23, had a chance to finish the season with 60 extra-base hits.
Entering Thursday night games, Duvall had six home runs in his last five games. He singled twice, but failed to homer for the first time in six games. Look for Duvall to crack Baseball America's Prospect Hot Sheet Friday.
*And in other local baseball news, former Trinity star Tyler Kuhn was sold to the Arizona Diamondbacks by the Chicago White Sox. I wrote about Kuhn last weekend when he made his first appearance as a pro at Louisville Slugger Field.
Kuhn can play infield or outfield. He hit .273 for Charlotte and ranked third in the International League in runs scored.
