Supporters of gay marriage hold Chick-fil-A "pray in"

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Supporters of gay marriage held a "pray in" outside a Chick-fil-a restaurant in Louisville.

More than 30 people held signs in support of gay marriage along Shelbyville Road.

Chick-fil-a's owner drew both criticism and praise for his recent statement that he believes in the traditional biblical definition of marriage.

Hundreds turned out in support of Dan Cathy's statements weeks ago.

Those who gathered today said those showings of support also hurt members of the LGBTQ community.

"The event is not focused as a protest," said Louisville minister Maurice Blanchard. "This event is a physical and spiritual witness of love. We're not here to fight or to bicker with anyone. We're here for love."
