Thousands turn out for St. Joseph Orphans' Picnic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thousands of people took advantage of the weather today...at Louisville's largest picnic.

The St. Joseph Orphans' picnic is an annual event is full of food, fun, and entertainment. It's held on the grounds of the St. Joseph Children's Home.

They have a residential treatment program for about 40 kids who are wards of the state and are victims of severe abuse and neglect.

The picnic is their biggest fundraiser of the year. Money raised goes towards operating funds.

The event brings in people from all over the state.
