LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person was killed and several were hospitalized -- including two children -- after a three-vehicle accident Tuesday morning., according to the Spencer County Sheriff's Office.
It happened near the intersection of Taylorsville Lake Road and Elk Creek Road, shortly after 6:30 a.m. in Spencer County, Ky.
Authorities tell us three vehicles were involved in a collision. The accident killed one person, and three others were injured.
Two children were transported to Kosair Children's Hospital, and one adult was taken to an unidentified hospital.
Kentucky State Police are investigating the accident.
Taylorsville Lake Road was completely shut down briefly for a two-mile stretch after the accident, according to the Spencer County Sheriff's Office. The accident scene was cleared and the road reopened at about 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
