I-265 construction project nears halfway point

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A major project to get traffic flowing better for drivers getting off I-265 in New Albany is nearing the halfway point.

The $1.7 million project is widening the exit ramps at Grant Line Road and Charlestown Road.  The lanes are narrowed as crews make the repairs.

Overnight Thursday, the westbound ramp to Grant Line Road will close, but will reopen before the morning rush.  The same will happen for the eastbound ramp on Friday.

When completed, new or extended turning lanes will accommodate additional traffic along with modernized signals and new signs.
