The Eastern Michigan basketball program is looking for a head coach.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Eastern Michigan is not a Stop The
Presses college basketball job. It's not even one of the top jobs in the
Mid-American Conference.
EMU has delivered one winning season in the last decade.
Maybe that is why Rob Murphy left for a job in the scouting department of the
Orlando Magic after one season.
But it is a Division I job. And it is worth noting that two
guys with local ties have been mentioned with the opening – Louisville assistant
coach Kevin Keatts and former Indiana guard (and current Michigan State
assistant) Dane Fife.
Chas Wolfe of HighMajorScoop.com mentioned Keatts, Fife,
Ohio State assistant Jeff Boals, Cleveland State assistant Jayson Gee, Detroit assistant
Jay Smith and Greg Gard of Wisconsin.
