Police hope to repeat success of "Drive Sober" campaign

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they want to repeat last year's success of an anti-drunk driving program.

It's called, "Drive Sober or get Pulled Over."

It's a nationwide effort to remind drivers that if they drink and drive, they will be arrested.

"I'm very happy to report that last year during this campaign we did not have a single accident involving an intoxicated driver in Louisville," said Sgt. Mike Minniear of Louisville Metro Police.

The campaign includes extra patrols, getting the word out to the media and high-profile events to help stop drunk driving.
