No charges for truck driver; officer identified in Outer Loop crash

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Police don't plan to file any charges against the truck driver involved in a chain reaction accident that ended with an LMPD cruiser smashing into a home on the Outer Loop.

Investigators questioned that driver last night.

LMPD has also identified the officer involved in that crash.  Officer Kenneth Angelini has been with LMPD since June of 2007.  He has been released from the hospital and is resting at home.

Witnesses say the truck pulled out in front of Angelini, whose car went over the curb, across the yard, and into this south Louisville home.  The three people inside were not hurt.

The Red Cross has put the family up in a hotel while they search for a new place to live.
