LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Kentucky state lawmakers are remembering a man who spent much of his life in the state capitol.
They held visitation and a memorial today for Governor Steve Beshear's Chief of Staff, Mike Haydon.
The 62-year-old died Sunday at his home in Springfield.
Governor Beshear described him as a dedicated public servant and a genuine character.
Haydon spent more than 30 years in public service at both the state and local level.
The service highlighted not only Haydon's years in public service, but his life as a husband, father, and fun-loving guy.
Another visitation will be held in Springfield Thursday, and his funeral is this Friday.
