LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Plans appear to be moving forward to open a 21C Museum Hotel in Lexington. Construction on the luxury hotel and art museum could begin by the end of the year.

That's after the hotel got conditional approval to renovate the First National building in downtown.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that the hotel has some work to do on financing, but that the project would probably start even if tax credits for historic preservation are not granted.
