Louisville was voted in the top 20 by three voters in the AP college football poll.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Chris Fowler of ESPN and Andy
Staples of Sports Illustrated did not vote the University of Louisville in the
Top 25 on their ballots in the Associated Press college football poll.
But, according to a quick look at every AP ballot, it
appears that 25 voters did include the Cardinals. The result is that Louisville
will start the season ranked 25th.
Three voters includes Charlie Strong's team in their Top 20:
Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News had the Cards 14th.
Kyle Meinke of annarbor.com voted Louisville Number 17.
And Cecil Hurt, sports editor of the Tuscaloosa News, rated
Louisville No. 20.
