LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- An Indiana town was just named the best place to live in the United States. The Indianapolis suburb of Carmel tops the list by CNN Money.
Despite the recession, the sleepy community transformed itself into an ideal place to work and play, according to the report.
The median family income in Carmel is almost $121,000. That compares to just under $97,000 for the average town on the best places list.
Its unemployment rate is just over half the national average.
Rounding out the top three -- McKinney, Texas and Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
