116 Kentucky counties considered drought disaster areas

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- 116 of Kentucky's 120 counties are now considered disaster areas due to drought.

That's after the U-S agriculture secretary declared more of them drought disaster areas.

68 additional counties will now be getting help, including Jefferson, Adair, Bullitt, Nelson, Shelby, Taylor and Trimble counties.

They were just added to the growing list.

Those in Hardin, Henry and Oldham counties are also eligible for assistance.
