Cantaloupe farm associated with outbreak still not identified

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Health safety advocates want the government to identify a southwestern Indiana farm that has agreed to stop selling cantaloupes, following a salmonella outbreak.

Advocates say they also want officials to identify stores that sell cantaloupes from the farm where officials suspect the outbreak originated.

State health officials say they're withholding the name of the farm because the recall was voluntary, and the source of the outbreak is still under investigation.

Health officials are warning Kentuckiana residents to throw-out cantaloupes bought since July 7th.
