Robbery suspect arraigned Saturday morning

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a man they say confessed to a string of robberies.

Travis Johnson was arraigned this morning on 9 counts of first degree robbery.

A judge entered a plea of not guilty for him.

Police say Johnson robbed seven gas station convenience stores in less than a month.

He's also accused of robbing or attempting to rob the same store twice, but on the second attempt, the clerk locked the door.

The judge kept Johnson's bond at $100,000 dollars.

Police arrested Johnson early Friday, after an alert TV news viewer recognized him from a surveillance video.
