ISU suspends student facing murder charge

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana State University has suspended a student, facing a murder charge for a campus shooting.

21-year-old William Mallory was suspected after Friday's shooting that killed one man and injured two others.

The shooting happened in a campus parking lot, and was the result of a disagreement in a nearby tavern.

ISU's police chief says the university doesn't allow weapons on campus, even for students with valid firearms permits.

William Mallory was a sophomore majoring in automotive engineering technology.

He's being held at the Vigo County Jail.
