LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- It's been nearly six months since the deadly March 2nd tornados in southern Indiana. This weekend, the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Henryville that was damaged will host a picnic to honor the volunteers.
March 2 Recovery will also mark the anniversary with a moment of silence and a bell ringing. The battered church served as a relief center in the days after the storm.
The church wants to say "thank you" to all those who have helped in the recovery. 13 people in southern Indiana were killed and hundreds of buildings were destroyed.
