Inmate still at large after escaping in Breckinridge County

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Breckinridge County jail inmate is still on the loose after walking away from a work detail.

On Friday afternoon, 51-year-old David Dowell of Hardinsburg was part of a work detail when he walked away from the site.

Dowell was serving time for a probation violation on burglary and assault charges; he had about seven months left to serve on his sentence.

Dowell has relatives in Breckinridge County and is believed to still be in the area. He was the second inmate to escape in Breckinridge County last week.

Robert Waddell, who escaped last Thursday, was caught-Saturday afternoon.
