Indiana to hold contest to get smokers to quit

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kicking the habit could earn you some cold, hard cash.

Health officials in Indiana are challenging smokers to quit.

And if you do, you could get up to $2,500.

The 2012 Quit Now Indiana contest begins next month.

Contestants age 18 and older must remain tobacco-free for 31 days.

Winners will be drawn at random and they will be tested to make sure they are tobacco-free before they can claim a prize.

To register, go to QuitNowIndiana.com or InShapeIndiana.org.
