Louisville ranks 59th in Jeff Sagarin's first BCS ratings.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – More computer ratings are coming
out after the first weekend of the college football season. Jeff Sagarin, who
remains the gold standard to me, posted his Tuesday morning.
Louisville is 59th in Sagarin's ELO-Chess
numbers, the ones used in the BCS formula, because they don't include margin of
victory. If you do include margin of victory, Louisville is 54th.
For Kentucky, the rankings are 70 with margin of defeat, 77
without.
For Indiana, both numbers are 122. For Western Kentucky, it's
158 with margin of victory, 124 without.
Here are Sagarin's top 10, according to his BCS-approved
rankings:
- Alabama
- TCU (huh?)
- LSU
- Oregon
- Boise State
- Oklahoma
- Stanford
- USC
- Texas A&M
10. Wisconsin.
