Former U of L and Butler High star Adam Duvall led the California League with 30 home runs.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Home run titles are something to
celebrate so there is reason to high-five former University of Louisville and
Butler High School star Adam Duvall.
He led the high Class A California League with 30 home runs
this season as Duvall tried to fight his way though the San Francisco Giants'
farm system.
Duvall also had 24 doubles and four triples. His 100 RBIs –
in only 134 games – ranked third in the league, and he was fourth in total
bases. He also homered in five consecutive games.
San Francisco drafted Duvall in the 11th round in
2010. He celebrated his 24th birthday Tuesday. Duvall finished strong, hitting nine home
runs in August and one in September. He needs to improve his walk total and
on-base percentage (.327), but a power stroke like that will get him a long
look by San Francisco or another organization.
