Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Someone stole personal information from those using Churchill Downs' online wagering site.

Account information from some of the customers of TwinSpires.com was hacked on Aug. 3.

The company says account holders names, birth dates, email addresses and encrypted social security numbers were leaked.

But only 20 percent of customers are affected.

A letter was sent to customers letting them know how to protect their information.
