LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- On Wednesday afternoon, four figures crawled through the doggie door of a home near the University of Louisville, but they weren't of the canine variety.
That's what Louisville Metro Police say happened just before 2:30 p.m.
According to an arrest report, 21-year-old Chelton Ricketts and three juvenile accomplices broke into a home on Creel Avenue, near the intersection of 4th Street and Industry Road. Police say they used the "doggie door" to get in, then unlocked the door.
According to the arrest report, Ricketts and his accomplices stole a black safe containing a 9mm handgun and cash. They also allegedly took a Remington .243 caliber rifle, a Winchester shotgun and electronics, such as an Xbox video game system and a computer platform.
Ricketts is charged with first degree burglary, and three counts of engaging in an unlawful transaction with a minor.
