LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- In Louisville, local artists are spending the weekend showcasing their talents.
More than 150 artists put their work on display this morning for the Mellwood Art Center's annual festival.
The free event includes indoor and outdoor booths, as well as live music and arts and crafts for kids.
At Mellwood, artists can rent space to showcase their work all year long.
"There's a pretty good flux of artists moving in and out but spaces seem to fill really quickly and it's a fabulous working space," says Mellwood artist Miranda Ballou.
This year, high school and college students are included in the ranks of the pros.
Local businesses pitched in to help these younger artists pay for their tents.
The festival runs all weekend.
