POLICE: Louisville man stole $36,000 in gift cards

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown Police have arrested a man they say stole gift cards worth more than $36,000.

According to an arrest report, 44-year-old William Chun ordered $36,048 in gift cards and had his employer pay for them. He then allegedly kept the gift cards for himself.

When police arrested Chun Friday morning on Linn Station Road, just east of Hurstbourne Parkway, he allegedly had $1,000 in gift cards with him.

He was charged with theft.

The company Chun worked for is not clear from the arrest report.
