David Camm to remain in jail

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The Indiana Supreme Court has ruled that David Camm will stay behind bars as he awaits his third trial.

Camm's lawyers asked that he be released because of a delay they say was sparked by Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson's plan to write a book about the case.

But the justices say the two-year delay was Camm's own doing because of a request to stay the case during a legal battle over the prosecutor's role.

Appeals courts overturned verdicts from 2002 and 2006 that convicted Camm of murder for the shootings of his wife Kim and their two young children Jill and Brad in their Georgetown, Indiana home in 2000.
