LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after police say he scrapped one stolen vehicle and tried to scrap another.
On Sept. 5, 32-year-old Christopher Probus allegedly met a tow truck driver on the lot of the Grade A recycling center, near the corner of Melton Avenue and Grade Lane, at around 5 p.m.
Police say Probus was in possession of a stolen vehicle, and had the tow truck driver pull the car across the scales to weigh it for scrap.
Probus received $638 for the stolen vehicle, according to police.
Less than a week later, on Sept. 10, police say Probus met a tow truck driver with a second stolen vehicle he intended to scrap.
Again, police say Probus went to the Grade A recycling center, and again, he was allegedly trying to have it scrapped.
Officers say they found Probus in line to be paid, when they asked him to provide proof of ownership of the vehicle. He could not, according to the arrest report.
Probus was arrested and charged with two counts of receipt of stolen property.
