LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The promise of a job: police say that's how a Louisville sex offender lured one unsuspecting victim into a wooded area so he could sexually abuse him.
It happened Wednesday shortly after 7:00 p.m. Police say 38-year-old James Ford met the victim on a TARC bus, and promised him he would get him a job where he was working.
The two got off the bus together, and Ford allegedly promised to show him the warehouse where he was working. They stopped at a gas station on the way so Ford could get beer, according to an arrest report.
They then went to a "wooded area," where Ford could drink beer, police say.
While there, Ford allegedly groped the victim.
Police say the man pushed him away and Ford left the scene.
Ford is on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry.
