LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shively Police say they've arrested one Louisville man for committing three robberies -- in the same day!
According to multiple arrest reports, 20-year-old William Northington was arrested shortly before 2:30 Monday afternoon.
The first alleged robbery took place at 4 a.m. on Thursday, on Paradise Lane, near Terry Road. Police say Northington approached a woman who was walking in the area and asked her directions. Then he allegedly pulled a handgun, pointed it at her and demanded her money. Police say he grabbed her purse from her shoulder and drove away in a four-door Buick.
At 6:30 a.m. on the same day, police say Northington approached a man walking to school near the intersection of Columbine Drive and Morning Glory Lane. Again, Northington allegedly pulled a gun and demanding money -- this time threatening to shoot the victim in the leg, according to police. The victim gave Northington his cell phone and Northington drove away, police say.
An hour later, police say Northington stopped a man walking home from work on Park Road, near Dixie Highway. Police say Northington again pulled a gun and demanded the victim's property, including a wallet and a backpack with a cell phone in it.
Shively Police arrested Northington on Monday. He is charged with multiple counts of robbery.
