LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken into custody by Louisville authorities Tuesday afternoon after police say he sexually abused a 4-year-old girl in Louisville in 2011.

Police say 29-year-old David Coronado was taken into custody at 1 p.m.

According to an arrest warrant, the incident took place on Oct. 23, 2011. Police say Coronado fondled the child through her clothes.

Coronado is charged with first degree sex abuse.

According to Dwight Mitchell, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, the child lived in Coronado's neighborhood. It is not clear if there are other alleged victims.

Mitchell said Coronado was brought back to Kentucky after serving time in Loudon County, Tenn. on unrelated charges.

Coronado's name appears on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry for a 2003 charge of aggravated sexual battery.
