LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was killed after crashing his pickup truck early this morning.
33-year-old Juan Alanis-Leon was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple injuries.
Police say it happened just before 2 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 71 near the Gene Snyder Freeway. That's where police say the driver lost control of the Toyota Tahoe, which flipped several times before it was stopped by a cable barrier.
The victim was ejected from the Tahoe and ended up in the northbound lanes.
The northbound and southbound lanes near the crash scene were closed for several hours while crews cleared the scene.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
