WDRB Facebook friends weigh in on Kentucky Supreme Court decision

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- We asked our Facebook friends: "Do you agree or disagree with the Supreme Court's ruling on JCPS?"  The results were overwhelmingly against the student assignment plan.

Here's a sampling of their responses:

Cierra writes, "It's bull and precisely why we will be moving before my son goes to kindergarten."

Patricia says, "There is something wrong with this picture. When you buy your home you always check the neighborhood and the school. Freedom to choose needs to be a right."

Tracey says, "Just proves again how incredibly insane our court system is!"

Jodee writes, " ...My son has had major trouble with kids bused in from another demographic. The faculty is playing referee not teaching. I have to get them out of this situation or they are screwed."

One of the only people to back the court on our page was Acey, who says, " Jcps does the best it can with what it has to work with, busing kids around evens out the schools so that all the schools are utilized to their fullest potential....."  Acey adds, "Neighborhood schools is a one horse town mentality and an unrealistic idea for such a large school district."
