Jeffersonville garbage truck driver may reach plea deal

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There's talk that a former Jeffersonville garbage truck driver charged in a deadly crash could be working on a plea deal.

Lawyers for 45-year-old Roger Crum have until Monday afternoon to reach a deal, or Crum will go on trial on Tuesday.

Crum is charged with three counts of criminal recklessness in the crash that killed 19-year-old Bethany Burrier of Borden, Ind.

At least three others were hurt in that wreck.

Crum faces a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
