LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Shepherdsville Fire Department has confirmed that five local fire departments were battling a 10-acre brush fire in northern Bullitt County Saturday afternoon.

The fire was located off of Johnson Hollow Road, which is northwest of downtown Shepherdsville.

Officials say the Nichols Fire Department and the Zoneton Fire Department battled the blaze for two to three hours. They requested extra assistance from the Shepherdsville, Mt. Washington and Okolona fire departments.

No injuries have been reported. Officials say the fire threatened a residence at one point, but the firefighters brought the blaze under control before it reached the house.
