LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Toyota is driving thousands of dollars into early childhood education at ten Kentucky schools including, two in our area.  $115,000 in grants will be used to establish the Toyota bornlearning academies.

They will help teach parents and caregivers of children up to age five how to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities

H.W. Wilkey Elementary in Leitchfield and Boston Elementary in New Haven were chosen to be a part of the program.  Wil James of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky says, "They will offer practical strategies that parents can use anywhere from the kitchen to the grocery store to maximize a child's early learning and development."

Toyota has committed to adding five more academies over the next four years.
