LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- A Larue County man accused of leading a Hodgenville police officer on a chase that ultimately caused his death will remain behind bars.

A not guilty plea was entered in court Wednesday morning for Jason Avis.  He's charged with fleeing and evading and wanton endangerment.

Officer Mark Taulbee was trying to catch Avis in connection to a domestic violence call when he flipped his car and died.

Avis remains behind bars on a $25,000 bond.  His case now goes to a Larue County grand jury.
