LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a UPS employee for stealing more than 30 iPhones and cell phones and selling them for more than $10,000.
According to an arrest report, 21-year-old Miguel A. Macias was approached by UPS security about a rash of recent cell phone thefts.
Police say he gave a written statement to the security officers admitting to at least 33 thefts of cell phones, including iPhones. He also allegedly admitted to selling the phones for $10,300. He allegedly had three cell phones in his vehicle and one in his apartment.
These phones were returned to UPS security.
He's been charged with theft by unlawful taking of items totaling more than $10,000.
